RELATIONSHIP WITH ENEMIES

Proverb 25:21     If your enemy is hungry,
give him bread to eat;
And if he is thirsty,
give him water to drink.
Proverb 24:17  Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
and do not let your heart be glad  when he  stumbles.
Romans 12:18-21    If  is possible, as much as depends on you,
live peaceably with all men.
Beloved do not avenge yourselves,
but rather give place to wrath :
for it is written, " Vengeance is Mine. I will repay " says the Lord.
Therefore if your enemy hungers,  feed him,
If he thirsts, give him a drink.
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."
Do not overcome with evil,
but overcome evil with good.

To overcome evil with good, the goodness must be so powerful and overpowering the effects of evil and should be able to transform the origin of evil  into fountains of goodness. Then goodness will flow over every channels of our activities and thoughts  and the whole social realm will be saturated with  justice and goodness.
The very first condition for this is purity of mind and body. Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is our REASONABLE service. Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind , that you prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Therefore when the physical and mental realms are clean and worthy, the life style changes and clean living produces efficient healthy habits and happiness and prosperity. and not strife , terror, mutilation and war and destruction. For renewal of body we do exercises and practice healthy eating habits. For renewal of mind, reading scripture, good books, good friends, controlling our anger, our thoughts in the proper way and speaking clean language etc will help.

When you love enemies, the enemies do not exist anymore. That relationship is changed by love vibrations. Hatred cannot survive there, there is no nurturing for that feelings. ENEMITY JUST DISAPPEARS. Affection uproots the weeds of jealousy and  anger. A kind deed will erase everything. Who can resist the power of affection ? Showing affection to prisoners, patients, old people, children, husband or wife or parents, will anyone discard genuine affection.

SACRIFICE

SACRIFICE

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,

How much more , when he brings it with wicked intent !  Proverb 21:27

To do righteousness and justice

Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverb 21:3

Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,

As in obeying the vice of the Lord?

Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,

And to heed than the fat of rams,

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,

And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry,   1 Samuel 15:21,22

With what shall I come before the Lord,

And bow myself before the High God?

Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,

With calves a year old ?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams

Or ten thousand rivers of oil ?
Shall I give my first born for my transgression

The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul ?

               He has shown you O man , what is good;

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God 

 The Lord’s  voice cries in the city –

Wisdom shall see your name.  Micah 6:6-9

I desire mercy and not sacrifice,

And knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

But like men they transgressed to the covenant;

They dealt treacherously with Me.   Hosea 6: 6,7

For your faithfulness is like a morning cloud,

And like the early dew it goes away . Hosea 6:4

Jeremiah 22:16,17 Was this not knowing ME 

And do justice and righteousness ?

Then it was well with him.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy;

Then it was well .

WAS NOT THIS KNOWING ME? Says the Lord.

Yet your eyes and your hearts are for nothing but your covetousness,

For shedding innocent blood,

And practicing oppression and violence.

HE IS JUST         Ezekiel 18: 1-9

What do you mean when you use the proverb :
The fathers have eaten sour grapes,

And the childrens teeth are set on edge ?

As I live, says the Lord God,

You shall no longer use this proverb in Israel,

Behold all souls are Mine;

The soul of the father

As well as the soul of the son is Mine;

The soul who sin will die.

But if a man is just

If he has not oppressed anyone,

But has restored to the debtor his pledge,

Has robbed no one by violence,

But has given his bread to the hungry,

And covered the naked with clothing,

If he has not exacted usury,

Nor taken any increase,

But has withdrawn his hand from iniquity,

And executed true judgement between man and man,

I f he has walked in My statutes,

And kept My judgement faithfully,

           HE IS JUST ( ten commandments !!!)

Ezekiel 18: 20 The soul who sin shall die.

The son shall not bear the guilt of the father,

Nor the father bear the guilt of the son.

The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself,

And the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
